Polynesian beach sarong Tiare Rau, “tiare leaves,“ is a Polynesian pareo hand-painted by our artist in Moorea, French Polynesia. White tiare flowers, scarlet hibiscus, monstera leaves, and banana leaves spread out along the border on a bright teal background, leaving the center of the fabric open and airy. An asymmetrical and delicate composition, where each motif is carefully traced with a brush.
Each piece is unique; no two hand-painted pareos are exactly alike.
Made from light and flowing cotton voile, this 170 x 115 cm Tahitian pareo naturally hugs the body, allows air to pass through and dries quickly, ideal under the French Polynesian sun or when traveling. An authentic souvenir from Tahiti, to give as a gift or treat yourself, find out more on our Polynesia blog to learn all about Moorea’s crafts.
This Tahitian sarong for women can be tied into a long dress or skirt, or worn as a beach sarong. Pair it with a mother-of-pearl and Tahitian pearl necklace for a refined island style, or complete the look with a vanilla tiare monoi oil to prolong the Polynesian spirit after the beach.
