A garden painted flower by flower
The colored pareos “heliconia” smell like tiare, the purple orchid, each species is treated with its own brushwork logic. The bracts of the heliconia are painted in dense, brick red and orange flat colors, with veins traced with a fine brush.
The purple orchids have a more airy, almost watercolor-like rendering. The white tiare flowers close the composition with their characteristic simplicity, five clean petals on a light background.
The special clothing paint is wash-resistant while retaining its fine lines. This is the hallmark of Tahitian craftsmanship. As with Polynesian coral sculptures, slight variations between pieces are not imperfections, but proof that no one else has exactly the same Tahitian pareo Here Vairaumati, created in Moorea.

How to care for a Polynesian pareo
The colors of this painted veil may appear slightly different depending on your screen. The turquoise is deeper in reality, the reds of the heliconia are denser, and the mauves of the orchids are warmer.
Shipped from French Polynesia, allow 7 to 14 days depending on the destination.
How to wear your Polynesian sarong
- The cotton veil is transparent, so it should be worn with something underneath, such as a swimsuit, bikini, or shorts, depending on the occasion.
- The floral pattern that crosses the veil from left to right looks particularly good when tied at the waist, with the garden side facing forward. At the pool, be careful with chlorine: a quick rinse with clean water after each swim will preserve the painted colors.
- At home, draped over the shoulder or worn as a shawl, this turquoise background and its flowers also work very well as a light summer decorative piece.
