The Tahitian pareo Rau Tiaré is the Polynesian name for the tiare flower. A flower that everyone here knows, that we wear in our hair, give as gifts, and breathe in. On this hand-painted pareo, it is expressed in its warmest colors: yellow, orange, and red. Bright, bold, and luminous.
A hand-painted Tahitian pareo
This Polynesian pareo is hand-painted in Moorea, French Polynesia. The patterns are traced directly onto the cotton voile, one by one, without a template. Each piece is different, which is what makes it so valuable.
Painted on soft, lightweight cotton voile, this Tahitian pareo measures 180 x 110 cm. The central floral composition, framed by a double border of yellow and carmine, gives it a sunny and assertive character. Because each hand-painted Polynesian sarong is a unique creation, slight variations in color or design may exist from one piece to another.
The colors visible on your screen may vary slightly depending on your device. The actual colors are warm, bright, and intense, true to the light of Moorea.
