Moorea at dusk painted on cotton fabric
Hand-painted in Moorea, French Polynesia, directly onto soft cotton voile, without a template or reproduction. The two symmetrical bouquets are freely traced, each petal placed with a sure hand, the warm shades built up color by color on the purple background.
The same care for cotton and color is found in the Polynesian cotton pouch, made in French Polynesia with the same attention to the material. Slight variations may exist from one item to another, which is the mark of a handcrafted piece.
