Designed to be worn as a dress
This Tahitian pareo is not built around a central pattern. The design starts at the bottom and rises upward in an asymmetrical flow, like a growing stem. Purple orchids open along the fabric, guided by green leaves. Laid flat, the motif remains subtle. Worn high, it follows the body and becomes fully visible.
Each piece is hand-painted directly onto lightweight cotton using a brush, with multiple layers to control color intensity. The contrast between purple orchids and coral red requires precision to keep the design sharp and defined.
A coral red, not a flat red
This is not a bright red. It leans toward coral, with warm orange undertones. It differs from the deeper tones of other designs and creates a softer, more luminous effect. In natural light, it reflects warmth rather than intensity, making it easier to wear throughout the day and into the evening.
Wrap, tie, wear it your way
Designed to be wrapped as a dress, tied at the back or on the side. The vertical composition naturally aligns with the body, creating a flattering silhouette. The lightweight cotton voile dries quickly after swimming and moves easily without stiffness.
For a more intense red floral style, the hibiscus tiaré pareo offers a stronger contrast, while the Miti pareo explores a deeper red palette.
Hand-painted in Moorea
This Tahitian pareo is hand-painted in Moorea by a local artisan. The asymmetrical design is drawn freehand, without stencils, which means each piece develops its own natural variation in the way the pattern rises.
