Large Marquesan tiki sculpture in walnut from Oceania: collector’s item with interior lighting

A masterful work, a unique collector’s item that makes a statement and reveals its engravings at nightfall.

This is a piece that does not simply exist in an interior: it defines it. The Tiki King, hand-carved on the island of Ua Pou, is a Marquesan work made from Oceanian walnut. A royal crown, Marquesan tattoos, a totem fishhook, and carved horns compose a powerful language, evoking protection, abundance, and prestige. Its interior lighting reveals the depth of the motifs at nightfall. A rare signature piece, designed for a collection or an exceptional location.

Tiki sculpture, Royal sculpture from the island of Ua Pou, in the heart of the Marquesas Islands, the Tiki King is a work of great stature: a royal sculpture, crafted according to the most emblematic Polynesian codes. Here, every detail counts. The gaze, the volumes, the crown, the density of the wood: everything contributes to creating an almost ceremonial presence.

The piece is carved from solid Oceanian walnut, then finished with natural linseed oil, which reveals the deep grain and protects the wood over time. With a height of 135 cm and a weight of approximately 45 kg, it is a museum-quality piece, a true “guardian” destined to become the focal point of any space.

In the Marquesan world, the tiki is not simply a decorative figure: it embodies a protective force, a memory, a transmission. The Tiki King is distinguished by its carved crown, a rare symbol of power and prestige, and by its deeply carved Marquesan tattoos. The totem hook evokes abundance and prosperity, while the carved horns reinforce the idea of vital force and victory. Everything is balanced: power and protection, authority and stability.

The most spectacular feature is its LED interior lighting, integrated into the structure. Once lit, the tiki seems to “breathe”: the light reveals the engravings, creates deep shadows, and gives it a striking nocturnal presence. It is a work that changes its interpretation depending on the time of day, like a gallery sculpture.

The Tiki King is presented by Ventanou and exhibited in our Creativ Moorea gallery. International shipping is available, with custom packaging and secure tracking. Tax exemption may apply for our foreign customers.
